Raja Jahangir Anwar Khan, Commissioner of Faisalabad Division, visited the Lincoln Corner established at Government College University Faisalabad. On this occasion, he met with students and addressed a special session, where he shared experiences from his life.

In his address, the Commissioner emphasized the importance of moral and social development among youth, stating that hard work, honesty, and discipline are the fundamental principles of a successful life. He advised students to prioritize character building and social responsibility alongside their academic pursuits.

During the visit, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rauf-i-Azam briefed the distinguished guest in detail on the ongoing research projects related to green energy and sustainable development being conducted by the Department of Environmental Sciences. He highlighted that the university is actively promoting environmentally friendly policies and renewable energy initiatives in line with modern requirements.

It was reaffirmed during the meeting that the district administration and Government College University Faisalabad would ensure the implementation of sustainable and eco-friendly policies through joint efforts. Both sides also agreed to benefit from the city’s waste management system and further strengthen institutional collaboration.

During the session held at the Lincoln Corner, detailed discussions were also conducted on educational opportunities, intercultural exchange programs, and leadership development. The Commissioner stated that the Lincoln Corner serves as an effective platform for young people to benefit from global educational opportunities, providing exchange programs, academic collaborations, and resources that equip students with skills aligned with contemporary demands.

He further emphasized that the university and district administration would adopt a joint strategy to promote educational values alongside the city’s economic and social development, ensuring a bright and dignified future for the younger generation.
