Walk Organized at Government College University Faisalabad to Express Solidarity with the Kashmiri People.

A peaceful walk was organized at Government College University Faisalabad to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people and to reaffirm moral support for their struggle for freedom. The walk was jointly arranged by the Directorate of Students Affairs, Lyallpur Business School, and the College of Commerce and Public Administration at the New Campus.

The walk was led by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam. Heads of various academic departments, faculty members, and a large number of male and female students participated in the event.

Addressing the participants, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam stated that no power can suppress the inalienable right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people. He emphasized that the Kashmir issue is not merely a regional dispute but a serious matter of human rights, justice, and the right to self-determination.

Speaking at the walk organized in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day (05 February), the Vice Chancellor strongly condemned India’s illegal and oppressive occupation and said that the Muslim Ummah must take practical steps to end the ongoing atrocities against the Kashmiri people and support their freedom.

He stressed that lasting peace in South Asia is conditional upon a just resolution of the Kashmir issue in accordance with United Nations resolutions. The Kashmiri people possess the fundamental right to self-determination, and denial of this right is a clear violation of international law and human rights.
