Vice Chancellor inaugurated Postgraduate Research Laboratories at Institute of Microbiology, GCUF

Vice Chancellor of Government College University Faisalabad Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam inaugurated three postgraduate research laboratories at the Institute of Microbiology on Friday. The newly established facilities include the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Surveillance Laboratory, Cell Culture Laboratory and Epidemiology Laboratory.
Upon arrival, the vice chancellor was received by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hidayat Rasool, Director of the Institute of Microbiology, and Prof. Dr. Farhat Jabeen, Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam commended the faculty and staff for their efforts in strengthening the university’s research infrastructure and advancing scientific research. He said the establishment of these laboratories would significantly enhance postgraduate research capacity and help address emerging public health challenges.
The vice chancellor congratulated the institute on this milestone and reaffirmed the university administration’s commitment to supporting research and innovation.
