Distance Learning Education is designed to provide commendable role model in academics, professionalism, operations and services rendered by using innovative technologies and methodologies assuring with quality by converging of existing formal education systems for convenience of massive human resource which is required for promoting integrated national development and global understanding.

Mission

Distance Learning Education is based on state of the art facilities and effective technologies to provide accredited, very affordable, accessible and well equipped learning opportunities with blessings to those students; who are incapable to attend the traditional, on-site regular campus classes due to issue of time, space and money or other social distancing aspects.

Introduction

Distance Learning Education is evolved as an alternate or parallel to the formal education system after an increasing realization that it is not perfectly coping with the educational needs and demands of the rapidly growing young population. The demand for education in Pakistan through formal education system is consistently run ahead of resources owing to the bulk of their young population. Therefore, remains educationally defined, and there are failing the demand in formal education system the need of non-formal education in various disciplines becomes evident in concept of Distance Learning Education. Distance Learning Education helps to:

  • Cope with the rapid increasing demand of education

  • Provide mass education at reasonable and low costs

  • Acquire education at any stage of their life

  • Boost up the professional development of working people on their job place

Objectives

The main objectives of Distance Learning Education are to:

  • Enhance the teaching and learning process through the use of innovative educational technologies.

  • Supporting and training of faculty, staff, and students in the use of Distance Learning Education technologies.

  • Assist faculty in the development and delivery of courses at a distance.

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with other educational institutions.

  • Identify and provide access to courses and programs needed in the industry and job market.

  • Enhance professional development of working people at their job place.
