Treasurer Office
Vision
To deliver quality-oriented financial support services to the university’s faculty, students, and administration by ensuring an efficient, economical, and transparent financial management and reporting system.
Introduction
The Treasurer’s Office, established under Article 15 of the Government College University Faisalabad Ordinance 2002 (Amended Act 2004), has the mandate to:
- Manage the property, finances, and investments of the university.
- Prepare the annual and revised budget estimates of the university and present them to the Finance and Planning Committee and the Syndicate.
- Ensure that the university’s funds are expended for the purposes for which they are allocated.
In addition to its primary responsibility for managing the university’s financial assets and liabilities, this office also performs other functions, such as:
- Maintaining books of accounts and recording all financial transactions using a Modified Cash-Based System of Accounting, in compliance with the New Accounting Model (NAM) of the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) and the Government of Punjab.
- Managing the collection of fees through cash management modules via banks on a real-time basis.
- Managing payroll and employees’ funds of the university.
- Ensuring efficient disbursements to all stakeholders in accordance with prevailing rules.
