Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization, Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) has taken another significant step toward strengthening research, innovation, technology development, and institutional linkages by signing two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading laboratories at ASCEND Tower, NUST, Islamabad.

MoU with Biotechnologies Lab, ASCEND Tower

The collaboration establishes a framework for joint activities in biotechnology, microbiology, livestock, food/feed biotechnology, fermentation, and related scientific fields. The partnership will promote joint research projects, scientific publications, M.Phil. and Ph.D. research, student internships, researcher exchange, workshops, laboratory resource sharing, and technology development and commercialization.

MoU with Agrotechnologies Lab, ASCEND Tower

The second MoU focuses on data-driven solutions for contemporary agricultural challenges, particularly through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Bioinformatics, and digital technologies in agriculture. It will facilitate collaborative research, postgraduate research and training, internships, capacity building, technology development, and commercialization.

Both collaborations also offer students and researchers access to laboratory facilities, technical expertise, research training, and potentially monthly or project-based stipends for selected research and internship activities.

The MoUs mark an important milestone in GCUF’s commitment to research excellence, innovation, technology transfer, student training, and sustainable agricultural development, and they open new avenues for collaboration between academia and advanced research laboratories.

Vice Chancellor, GCUF Prof Dr Rauf-I-Azam warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his appreciation for their presence at Government College University Faisalabad. He also appreciated the collaboration and emphasized that the signing of the MoUs will strengthen mutual cooperation and create new opportunities for research, innovation, and academic development.
