The two-day 1st Micro National Futsal Championship commenced at the Sports Complex of Government College University Faisalabad on Monday.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam inaugurated the championship as the chief guest. Nine teams from across Pakistan are participating in the event, which aims to promote futsal and encourage healthy sporting competition among young athletes.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam appreciated the participating teams and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to promoting sports alongside academic excellence. He also met the players and wished them success in the tournament.

At this occasion Chairman Sports Board GCUF Prof. Dr. Nasir Amin, Director Sports Dr. Saeed Javed, and President of the Micro Futsal Association Pakistan Haji Muhammad Tariq were also present at the opening ceremony.
