GCUF Vice Chancellor Dr. Rauf-I-Azam Holds Strategic Talks at University of St Andrews, Scotland

Vice Chancellor of Government College University Faisalabad, Prof Dr Rauf-I-Azam, is currently on an official visit to the United Kingdom aimed at expanding academic, research and institutional collaboration with leading British universities.

As part of the visit, Prof Dr Rauf-I-Azam visited the University of St Andrews, Scotland, where he held meetings with Prof. Dr. Venkataraman Thangadurai, Professor and Chair in Energy at the School of Chemistry, and Prof. Dr. Richard Baker, Professor of Chemistry and Materials Science.

During the visit, the GCUF Vice Chancellor toured the University’s state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities, including advanced laboratories dedicated to chemistry and materials sciences. The discussions focused on areas of mutual interest, including collaborative research, faculty engagement, scientific innovation and future academic partnerships.

Prof Dr Rauf-I-Azam highlighted GCUF’s commitment to internationalization and emphasized the importance of building strategic partnerships with globally recognized institutions to enhance research excellence, knowledge exchange and academic capacity.

The visit is expected to lay the foundation for long-term academic cooperation, strengthen research networks and create new opportunities for students and researchers of both institutions, further advancing GCUF’s global engagement strategy.
