Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) has further strengthened its international academic engagement through a visit to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Kuala Lumpur Campus, by a delegation led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam.

The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Fauziah Sh. Ahmad, Head of UTM Kuala Lumpur Campus, and senior university representatives. The visit culminated in the signing of a Letter of Intent (LOI), paving the way for a formal MoU covering student and faculty exchange, joint research, training and capacity building, academic programmes, and other areas of mutual interest.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam said that GCUF is committed to expanding meaningful international partnerships that create opportunities for students and faculty, promote joint research, and strengthen academic and professional capacity.

The collaboration was initiated and coordinated by Dr. Zia Ashraf, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Medical Sciences, GCUF, who facilitated the institutional engagement and LOI process. The delegation also visited UTM facilities and explored opportunities in research, innovation, academic mobility, training, and institutional development.

The GCUF delegation comprised Prof. Dr. Farhat Jabeen, Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hidayat Rasool, Director, Institute of Microbiology; Dr. Muhammad Tahir ul Qamar, Deputy Director, Directorate of International Linkages; Dr. Muhammad Umer Sarwar, Manager IT Services; Mr. Moeen Qureshi, Manager Operations; and Dr. Zia Ashraf, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Medical Sciences.
