The National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) accreditation team successfully completed its accreditation inspection visit to Government College University Faisalabad today for four computing departments: the Department of Computer Science, Department of Information Technology, Department of Software Engineering, and Department of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology.

The NCEAC evaluation team comprised Dr. Ali Hammad Akbar (Convener), Dr. Mubashar Mushtaq, Dr. Muhammad Shoaib, and Dr. Arshad Ali (Members). During the visit, the team conducted comprehensive meetings with the university administration, academic leadership, and departmental representatives.

The visit commenced with a meeting chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Government College University Faisalabad, in the presence of Professor Dr. Kaleem Khan Khosa (Dean, Faculty of Physical Sciences), Professor Dr. Farhat Jabeen (Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences), Professor Dr. Abdul Rauf Bhatti (Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology), Prof. Dr. Mariam Rehman (Chairperson, Department of Information Technology), Dr. Kashif Hanif (Chairperson, Department of Computer Science), Dr. Sheraz Arshad Malik (Chairperson, Department of Software Engineering), Prof. Dr. Usman Ali Ashfaq (Chairperson, Department of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology), departmental focal persons, and senior university officials.

The university-wide accreditation exercise was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Mariam Rehman, University Focal Person for NCEAC Accreditation, while Dr. Muhammad Tahir ul Qamar served as the Secretary of the Accreditation Visit, coordinating documentation and recording the proceedings throughout the evaluation process. Subsequently, the NCEAC accreditation team held detailed meetings with chairpersons, faculty, students, alumni, employers, and other stakeholders. The team also inspected classrooms, computing laboratories, research facilities, libraries, student support services, and other academic infrastructure.

During the closing session, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam shared constructive recommendations to further enhance the efficiency, transparency, and impact of the NCEAC accreditation process, which were appreciated by the accreditation team. The Vice Chancellor thanked the NCEAC members for their professional evaluation, valuable feedback, and guidance.
