Government College University Faisalabad showcased its innovation and entrepreneurial potential at Expo Faisalabad 2026, which opened at the Expo Centre Lahore on Friday.

Vice Chancellor Government College University Faisalabad Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam attended the inaugural ceremony as the Guest of Honour. The university’s Business Incubation Centre (BIC) established stalls featuring innovative products, startup ideas and student-led business ventures, highlighting entrepreneurship and innovation among young graduates.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam said universities must foster innovation, entrepreneurship and industry-academia collaboration to equip students with the skills needed for the modern economy.

Punjab Chief Minister’s Adviser on Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives Ali Mustafa Dar inaugurated the three-day exhibition. Among those present were Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) President Farooq Yousaf Sheikh, Vice Chancellor University of Kamalia Prof. Dr. Yasir Nawab, Vice Chancellor Government College women University Faisalabad Prof Dr Kanwal Amin and GCUF Business Incubation Centre In-charge Prof. Dr. Mohsin Bashir.

The three-day expo has brought together leading industrialists, entrepreneurs, exhibitors, investors and academic institutions to promote innovation, business collaboration and investment opportunities in Pakistan.
