GCUF Reviews BIC Performance, Approves 2027 Startup Roadmap

Vice Chancellor of Government College University Faisalabad Prof Dr Rauf-I-Azam, chaired the annual Steering Committee meeting of the Business Incubation Center (BIC) to review its performance for 2025–26 and approve strategic initiatives for the coming year.
Manager BIC, Prof Dr Mohsin Bashir, presented the Centre’s annual performance, success stories, key achievements and future plans. The committee reviewed the progress made in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty.
The meeting approved the BIC Roadmap 2027, focusing on new initiatives for student and faculty startups, the establishment of a startup funding pool, and a structured training and mentorship framework for incubates.
The committee also approved an MoU with Solutioner, represented by CEO Sohail Tariq, to provide IT and business support services to startups. An Industrial Venture Capital Initiative, supported by Waheed Ramay, was also discussed to strengthen industry linkages and investment opportunities for emerging entrepreneurs.
Prof Dr Rauf-I-Azam emphasized GCUF’s commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship and industry-academia collaboration to empower young entrepreneurs and promote sustainable economic growth.
