GCUF Strengthens International Cooperation in Engineering and Environmental Sciences with UK Universities

Vice Chancellor Government College University Faisalabad, Prof Dr Rauf-I-Azam, is on an official visit to the United Kingdom, where he is meeting Vice Chancellors, Dean’s, and research leaders of leading universities to strengthen academic and research collaboration.
The visit aims to enhance GCUF’s global outreach and promote cooperation in faculty and student exchange, joint research, innovation, and commercialization. During the visit, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam met Dr. Issa Chaer, Dean of Research at the College of Technology and Environment, London South Bank University (LSBU). Both sides discussed collaboration in engineering, environmental sciences, sustainability, and interdisciplinary research.
LSBU’s College of Technology and Environment is internationally recognized for its expertise in engineering, architecture, planning, computer science, and sustainability, while maintaining strong partnerships with governments, industries, and research organizations worldwide.
GCUF’s Faculty of Engineering and Technology offers programmes in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical Engineering Technology, as well as Architecture, providing students with quality education, practical training, and research opportunities.
Government College University Faisalabad also has a well-established Department of Environmental Sciences, where faculty members and researchers are actively engaged in addressing contemporary environmental challenges.
The discussions are expected to lead to long-term academic partnerships and collaborative research initiatives between the two institutions.
