Vice Chancellor Government College University Faisalabad Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam participated in the Vice Chancellors’ Conference organized by the Punjab Higher Education Commission under the “Exposure to Global Best Practices in Higher Education (EGBP-HE) Programme” held at University of Agriculture Faisalabad.

Addressing the conference, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam said universities must transform themselves into engines of inclusive growth by promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and global collaboration to address emerging societal and economic challenges. He emphasized that higher education institutions should focus on research-driven solutions, community engagement and international partnerships while encouraging entrepreneurship and startup culture among students

The conference brought together vice chancellors from universities across Punjab to discuss global trends in higher education, research collaboration, innovation and institutional development

Speaking on the occasion, PHEC Chairperson Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Prof. Dr. Paul Whitney of Washington State University, Prof. Dr. Asif Chaudhry and Prof. Dr. Kulvinder S. Gill stressed the need to strengthen university-industry linkages, interdisciplinary research and international collaboration to improve academic quality and promote socio-economic development.
