During a ceremony held at the grand mosque of the New Campus of Government College University Faisalabad, Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance distributed interest-free loan cheques worth a total of 5 million rupees among 100 deserving families from the middle class.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rauf Azam, who was the chief guest, distributed the cheques. In his address, he paid tribute to the selfless services of Dr. Amjad Saqib, the founder of Akhuwat Foundation, and stated that the Akhuwat model is not merely a means of financial assistance, but a remarkable example of self-reliance, economic independence, and social trust. Interest-free loans will not only help promote small businesses but will also bring positive changes to the national economy.

The event was also attended by former Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Faqir Muhammad Anjum, Akhuwat Foundation’s Regional Manager for Faisalabad Khalid Mahmood, Area Manager Zulfiqar Ali, Khalid Mahmood Shoq, deans from various university departments, faculty members, and other esteemed guests.

This ceremony reflected the shared vision of mutual cooperation, humanitarian service, and social development between Government College University Faisalabad and Akhuwat Foundation. The university not only appreciated this initiative but also assured continued support for such welfare projects in the future.
