Undergraduate Studies

Introduction

The University has 8 faculties comprising more than 60 departments imparting education in various disciplines. The Directorate of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) was established in 2012 in order to facilitate the BS students from the start of their degrees to the award of degrees. This Directorate is also responsible for maintaining the complete record of undergraduate students from admission till completion of degrees. Since then, the Directorate is maintaining the record file of every individual student admitted in undergraduate programs.

Functions

The responsibilities of this Directorate also include facilitating the students in their academic issues i.e. enrollment, re-enrollment, freezing, resuming of Freezed Semester and other relevant academic matters during the course of studies. The goal of the Directorate is to help students achieve academic success by providing extensive academic advisory services. Accordingly, the Directorate works with faculty to establish and administer academic policies, assist with undergraduate curriculum development and review, and support proposals for new and revised undergraduate programs and courses through the various approval processes. The Directorate is also responsible for assisting the students with degree and career planning. Brief description of its services is given below:

  1. Implementation of Undergraduate Education Policy (Main Campus, Sun-campuses and Affiliated Colleges
  2. Awareness Sessions regarding Semester Rules and Regulations for undergraduate students
  3. Re-enrollment of undergraduate students BS &5th Bridging (Main campus, sub-campuses and UCC)
  4. Extra semester enrollment of undergraduate students in BS &5th Bridging Semester (Main campus, sub-campuses and UCC)
  5. Special enrollment of undergraduate students BS &5th Bridging (Main campus, sub-campuses and UCC)
  6. Freezing and resuming of freezed semester of undergraduate students BS &5th Bridging (Main campus, sub-campuses and UCC)
  7. Maintaining admission files record
  8. Transfer of students from UCC to University to their respective departments in 5th Semester (Bridging System)
