
In a significant step towards modernizing administrative operations, the Directorate of Training & Development at Government College University Faisalabad successfully organized a two-day workshop titled “Revolutionizing Office Productivity: The Impact of AI Tools on Administrative Efficiency.
In this event participation from approximately 90 administrative staff members representing a wide array of departments, including the Offices of the Controller, Registrar, Treasurer, Advanced Studies, and Academics.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, Vice Chancellor, GCUF, who served as Patron-in-Chief for the event. In his opening remarks, Dr. Rauf-i-Azam commended the Directorate of Training & Development for its proactive approach in capacity building and professional development of administrative staff. He emphasized, In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, the efficiency of any academic institution is directly linked to the adaptability and skillset of its administrative personnel. By equipping our staff with the latest AI tools, we are not only enhancing productivity but also ensuring accuracy, transparency, and innovation in our daily operations. I deeply appreciate the efforts of the Directorate and urge all participants to embrace these new technologies for the betterment of our university.
The workshop featured Prof. Dr. Zahid Asghar, Professor of Economics at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, as the lead resource person. Dr. Asghar, an acclaimed expert in economics, data science, and digital transformation, provided hands-on training and insightful lectures on the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in administrative settings. His sessions covered a variety of AI-powered tools, including intelligent document editors, automated scheduling assistants, advanced email management systems, and smart data organization platforms.
Special recognition was given to Prof. Dr. Sofia Anwar, Director, Directorate of Training & Development, and her dedicated team for their meticulous planning and execution of the event.
