Flag Hoisting Ceremony Held with Dignity at Government College University Faisalabad on Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day

On August 14, 2025, Government College University Faisalabad celebrated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day and the Battle of Truth with great zeal, dignity, and national spirit. Under the shadow of the green crescent-and-star flag, the atmosphere echoed with chants of Pakistan Zindabad, while every face reflected the light of love for the homeland.
On this occasion, a dignified flag hoisting and guard of honor ceremony was held, where Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rauf Azam hoisted the national flag. The national anthem was sung aloud, and a smartly turned-out contingent of guards presented the salute.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of university deans, directors, registrar, faculty members, administration, and students. In his address, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rauf Azam said that this homeland was achieved as a result of the tireless efforts and great sacrifices of our forefathers. It is a matter of pride for us that we are associated with the sacred profession of education and are serving our beloved country by spreading the light of knowledge.
He further stated that Independence Day is not only a reminder of our freedom but also a day of renewed commitment—that we will always remain united to make our beloved Pakistan a cradle of progress, prosperity, and peace.
