
Government College University Faisalabad proudly hosted the ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐๐๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ฐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ (NCRC) under the auspices of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to discuss educational reforms and nutrition policy integration.
Education experts from across Pakistan, along with policymakers and other key stakeholders, gathered to deliberate on curriculum reforms aimed at aligning academic standards with evolving national and global priorities. The experts focused on updating academic content to meet industry demands, public health needs, and international standards. The revised curriculum will pave the way for launching new, market-driven degree programs that address pressing societal challenges.
At this occasion Vice Chancellor ๐๐ซ๐จ๐. ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ฎ๐-๐ข-๐๐ณ๐๐ฆ emphasized Curriculum is the foundation of quality education. It must cover all relevant subjects, laws, and ethics to prepare students for real-world challenges. Practical learning, teacher training, and strong academia-industry linkages are key to meaningful education.
He also urged the industry to offer competitive salary packages to highly qualified graduates and stressed the importance of critical thinking, hands-on industrial experience, and effective student-teacher assessments in improving learning outcomes.
The meeting was coordinated by Dr. Amjid Hussain, Director General Academics and Curriculum at HEC, Mr. Faiz Rasool, Policy Advisor, GAIN, Prof. Dr. Imran Pasha, Prof. Dr. Umar Arshad Bajwa director industrial linkages.
Faculty members from GCUF and other leading universities across Pakistan actively participated, ensuring a collaborative national effort in shaping the future of Food Science and Human Nutrition education.
