The newly constructed Chiniot Campus of Government College University Faisalabad was officially inaugurated by Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Mr. Qaiser Ahmad Sheikh, Federal Minister for Investment Board, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan
alongside Prof. Dr. Rauf-I-Azam, Vice Chancellor of GCUF.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished parliamentarians, district administration officials, university deans, directors, faculty members, and a large number of students.

Dr. Falak Sher, Campus Director, commenced the ceremony by presenting a comprehensive report on the campus infrastructure, facilities.

Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, in his address, emphasized the importance of providing high-quality education, research, and economic opportunities to youth in alignment with the demands of the modern era. He praised the resilience and achievements of the Pakistani people and armed forces, highlighting that the establishment of Chinot Campus will bridge the gap between local industries and academic institutions, boosting the region’s economic growth.

At this occasion Mr. Qaiser Ahmad Sheikh expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for establishing this educational institution in Chinot. He emphasized that providing quality education in remote areas is a cornerstone of the government’s mission, encouraging the youth to pursue knowledge and achieve their dreams.

Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, spoke about the vital role of advanced education, research, and technology in strengthening the national economy. He encouraged the students of Chinot to excel in business, science, and technology, making a name for themselves globally.

At this occasion Prof. Dr. Rauf-I-Azam, Vice Chancellor of GCUF, expressed his gratitude to the federal ministers and HEC chairman for their support in establishing the Chinot Campus. He stated that this campus will transform the educational landscape of the region, providing local youth with quality education and eliminating the barriers to higher learning.

The Chinot Campus is already offering five BS degree programs in Social Sciences and Business, alongside three programs in Allied Health Sciences, providing a wide range of academic opportunities for students.
